According to 24tv, the projectiles struck residential and business districts across the city. Firefighters battled blazes for hours, with thick smoke hanging over several neighborhoods. The number of wounded rose to over 80 during the morning, and rescue teams also recovered bodies from the rubble.
The attack hit Kyiv particularly hard because it deliberately targeted civilian infrastructure. A large fire broke out in a shopping center and could only be extinguished around midday. Ukraine’s air force said some of the drones and missiles were intercepted, but the interception rate was lower than in previous weeks.
