Russia attacked Ukraine with a massive combined strike of drones and cruise missiles overnight on June 2, 2026. Ukraine’s air force reported that air defenses neutralized 642 of 729 enemy aerial targets, including 40 missiles and 602 drones. Thirty ballistic missiles hit targets across the country, with the main focus of the attack on Kyiv.
In Kyiv, at least four people were killed and 58 wounded. In Dnipro, six people died and 33 were injured. According to the air force, Russian forces used Kh-101 and Kalibr cruise missiles, Iskander-M and Zircon ballistic missiles, as well as Shahed, Gerbera, and Itelmas drones.
