The Kyiv City State Administration (KMDA) announced that Lukyanivska station remains closed to passengers for the time being. The reason is damage to the above-ground entrance building caused by the shockwave of a Russian attack. Access to Khreshchatyk station from the Avenue of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred is also temporarily blocked.

Immediately after the end of the air raid alert, metro workers are to begin cleanup operations. The goal is to restore the escalators and ticket machines to working order. The KMDA promises to provide separate information on the resumption of regular service.

Footage of the damage at Lukyanivska station circulated on Kyiv Telegram channels. According to the images, doors and parts of the escalator were destroyed by the shockwave.
