The Russian Black Sea port of Novorossiysk was hit by a Ukrainian attack overnight. According to Deutschlandfunk, the strikes were part of mutual attacks between Russia and Ukraine in Russia’s war of aggression.
Novorossiysk is a key base for Russia’s Black Sea Fleet and a major hub for oil exports. Ukrainian forces have repeatedly struck targets in the region in the past.
