The Naftogaz Group, in coordination with the Ukrainian government, has decided to provide financial assistance for the restoration of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra and the Oleksandr Dovzhenko Film Studio. Both sites were severely damaged during a massive Russian missile and drone attack on Kyiv on the night of June 15, according to CEO Serhiy Koretskyi, who announced the decision on Facebook.

“This is about preserving our historical memory, our national identity, and our cultural heritage, built over generations. We call on responsible Ukrainian businesses to join this important cause,” Koretskyi wrote. Russia is deliberately destroying residential buildings, critical infrastructure, historical monuments, and cultural institutions — the attacks target not just buildings but the country’s identity.

Only through the united efforts of the state, business, and society can what was destroyed be rebuilt, the Naftogaz chief emphasized. Ukrainian culture cannot be erased by any missiles or drones.
