The German handball scene will have a new strategic partner for the next three years. According to the German Handball Federation (DHB) and the Handball Bundesliga (HBL), the car manufacturer Opel will support the women's and men's national teams starting July 1 and will take over the naming rights to the HBL.

Mark Schober, CEO of the DHB, stated: "We already have a shared history, and now we are bringing our talents together for a successful future with the quality seal 'Made in Germany.'" He emphasized that the partnership opens up "great opportunities for German handball."

Opel is returning to handball after previously serving as a jersey sponsor for the national team and a partner of TV Großwallstadt in the 1980s and 1990s. In addition to the logos on the jerseys of the national teams and Bundesliga clubs, further activities are planned to bring handball closer to the audience.

Special initiatives such as "Behind The Scenes" access, ticket giveaways, and contests are planned to increase interest in handball. These measures aim to strengthen the connection between fans and the sport.
