Ukraine is continuing its attacks on Russia's infrastructure. Moscow uses Crimea as a supply base.

Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev said on Telegram that the energy infrastructure was hit and damaged by the overnight drone attacks. Several residential blocks in the city were also damaged. Due to the power outages, no trolleybuses were running in Sevastopol, and Razvozhaev called on parents to keep their children at home.

The Ukrainian military confirmed that drones had attacked the main substation of the Sevastopol power plant. According to media reports, there were also power outages in other parts of Crimea after a drone hit a power plant. The day before, Ukraine had destroyed a key railway bridge over the North Crimean Canal.

Due to increased Ukrainian attacks, fuel in particular is becoming scarce in Crimea. In the adjacent Russian-occupied areas of the Kherson region, the power supply is partially or completely cut off, according to the local Russian-appointed official Vladimir Saldo.

Russia has been waging war in Ukraine for more than four years. Kyiv is defending itself against the invasion, including with drone attacks on strategically important facilities in the Russian rear. The aim of these strikes is to make it harder for the Russian military to supply fuel. Meanwhile, several people have been killed in Russian drone attacks in Ukraine. In the northern Ukrainian region of Sumy, a 13-year-old boy, his father, and his grandmother died.
