An explosion occurred in the early hours of Thursday in Dnipro, the Kyiv Post reported, citing a Ukrinform correspondent. Ukraine’s Air Force had earlier warned of enemy drones approaching the city from the north and east. Air raid sirens sounded in the city.
The attack follows a deadly Russian strike early Wednesday that damaged residential buildings and a food warehouse in Dnipro. Two people were killed and six others injured, the Kyiv Post reported, citing earlier reports.
Dnipro, a major city in central-eastern Ukraine, has repeatedly been targeted by Russian attacks. Ukraine’s Air Force had warned the public in time, but damage and casualties still occurred.
