The attack occurred in the Vysokopilska hromada in the north of the Kherson region. According to Prokudin, Russian troops struck the settlement of Novopetrivka, fatally hitting the NPA employee.

Norwegian People’s Aid is a humanitarian organization that conducts demining operations in Ukraine, among other activities. The killed specialist was 24 years old. The three wounded colleagues received medical treatment; Prokudin did not immediately provide further details on their condition.

Russia has been waging a full-scale war of aggression against Ukraine since February 2022. Its forces regularly target civilian infrastructure and humanitarian workers. Ukrainian authorities document these attacks as war crimes.
