According to 24tv, a Russian attack on May 31 completely cut off the city of Konotop in Oblast from the power supply. The attack also hit surrounding communities, which are also without electricity.
The Sumy region lies directly on the border with Russia and has been repeatedly targeted by shelling since the start of Russia’s war of aggression. Authorities are working to restore the power grids, but no precise information on the duration of the outage is available yet.
