Russia launched a massive air attack on the Ukrainian city of Dnipro overnight on June 15, completely destroying a college building, according to the head of the regional military administration, Oleksandr Hantscha. The air force had previously warned of combat drones and ballistic missiles.
At least one person was injured, Hantscha said. The explosions and shockwave also damaged a business, a school, and a cultural institution. The House of Organ and Chamber Music also suffered damage. A fire broke out in the city after the shelling.
The attack on Dnipro was part of a large-scale Russian air offensive targeting several regions of Ukraine. Authorities declared a day of mourning in Dnipro for June 16.
