The attack occurred in the Korabelnyi district of the southern Ukrainian city. The two injured women were taken to a hospital, according to the authorities. The exact circumstances of the shelling are not yet known.
The city of Kherson and its surroundings have been shelled almost daily by the Russian army since Russian troops withdrew from the west bank of the Dnipro River in November 2022. The authorities repeatedly call on residents to be cautious.
