Russian forces launched a combined offensive against Ukraine on the night of May 17 to 18, deploying 22 missiles and more than 500 drones. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, by 8:30 AM on May 18, a total of 507 targets had been neutralized, including four "Iskander-K" cruise missiles and 503 enemy drones of various types.
The attacks primarily targeted the regions of Dnipro, Odesa, Chernihiv, and Zaporizhzhia. Despite successful defense measures, there were 34 hits, with 18 missiles and 16 drones striking various locations.
Ukrainian defense forces emphasized that the Russian offensive is ongoing and urged the population to remain in safe places during the attacks. The situation remains tense, and air defense continues to be actively deployed to minimize the threat from Russian strikes.
