President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed condolences to the families and reported dozens of wounded. In many cities and communities, cleanup is underway, with nearly 350 rescuers deployed in Kyiv and the surrounding region alone.
In Boryspil, a five-story residential building was hit, and 50 people were evacuated. Four people died there, and 13 were injured. Odesa and its region also came under fire, leaving thousands of families without power. A border crossing with Romania and export infrastructure were damaged.
In Kyiv, an attack on a railway depot killed seven people. The regions of Kherson, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Sumy, and Dnipropetrovsk also came under fire.
Zelenskyy stressed that Russia aims to destroy lives, and the number of casualties depends directly on air defense. He thanked all those helping Ukraine and called for more deliveries of defense systems in the autumn.
