Deutsche Bahn (DB) will begin slope stabilization work near Schlederloh on August 12. The first construction phase lasts until September 18. During the closure, replacement buses will run every 20 minutes to and from Icking.
The work largely falls during the Bavarian summer holidays. In the first school week from September 14 to 18, DB will deploy additional booster buses to handle higher demand. DB is installing so-called slope drains that capture seepage water in the ground and channel it away in a controlled manner to improve slope safety. Preparatory work began in early July.
Motorists should expect disruptions in the area of construction site entrances and exits. The measure is a response to several slope slips that have disrupted rail traffic in recent years. The goal is to permanently improve the stability of the affected section.
