Anastasiia Berezovska, the 39-year-old woman suspected of carrying out a parcel bomb attack in Monaco, has been found dead in Ukraine. Her body was discovered with gunshot wounds to the head in a forest near Kyiv, the BBC reported, citing the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU).

Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) said the body of 39-year-old Anastasiia Berezovska was found in a forest in the Kyiv region. She had gunshot wounds to the head. Berezovska had gone into hiding after the June 29 attack in Monaco, which injured a Ukrainian multimillionaire and his family.

Two people, including an active officer of Ukraine’s Defense Ministry, have been arrested on suspicion of murder. The prosecutor’s office said Berezovska entered Ukraine on July 1 and was picked up by the suspects in a car on a highway two days later. “The victim drove a certain distance with them, after which she was killed,” the BBC quoted authorities as saying.

Investigators believe the two detainees may also have been accomplices in the Monaco attack. They are said to have repeatedly transferred money to Berezovska’s accounts. The intelligence officer has confessed to the murder, according to the SBU. The investigation is ongoing.
