The Förderverein Sommerbad Gauting, together with SC Gauting, invites children and young people to the “Swimming Badge Action Day” on Sunday, June 28, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Without prior registration, participants can take tests for the Frog, Seahorse, Pirate, Bronze, Silver, and Gold swimming badges. A donation is requested.
In 2025 alone, more than 100 swimming badges were awarded during this action day. The event has become a fixture in the summer pool’s calendar over the past years. The focus is not on performance or competition, but on the joy of swimming and the motivation to take the next step.
The Wasserwacht Pilsensee in Seefeld will hold its own “Swimming Badge Day” on Saturday, July 4, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., featuring a varied program for children and families. The participation fee is 6.50 euros; those who wish to support the local group can round up the amount. Registration is possible until Sunday, June 28, at www.pilsensee.wasserwacht.de.
