Ukraine: 185 Defenders Returned from Russian Captivity

According to Ukrainska Pravda, 185 Ukrainian defenders and one civilian have returned from Russian captivity in a prisoner exchange. This is the 75th exchange since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion.

Among those released are seriously wounded and severely ill individuals, including cases of cancer and tuberculosis, Ukrainska Pravda reports, citing official data. The returnees are receiving medical care, and negotiations for further exchanges continue.

33 fighters of the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine (NGU) ‘Azov’ were freed, including two soldiers from the Azov Special Operations Regiment. More than 700 members of the Azov brigade have been in Russian captivity for the fifth year. After their return, the freed prisoners sang the Ukrainian national anthem.
