Ukrainian defense forces have recaptured at least 46 square kilometers of territory in the Oleksandrivka sector of Donetsk region, according to the DeepState monitoring group. The group confirmed earlier reports by the Ukrainian General Staff about advances in this frontline sector.

According to DeepState, Ukrainian troops liberated areas near Novoselivka and are conducting clearing operations in several surrounding settlements, including Voronne, Sichneve, Piddubne, Tovste, Novokhatske, and Zelenyi Hai. Russian forces lost at least 46 square kilometers as a result of the operation.

The territorial gains are part of a series of Ukrainian counterattacks in 2026, which military analysts say have slowed the Russian advance and complicated Russian battlefield command. Observers attribute the success to intensified drone warfare and disruptions to Russian communication systems.
