The facility lies about two kilometers from the border with Ukraine and is among the largest oil refineries in western Siberia. Its annual processing capacity is 7.5 to 9 million tons of oil. The plant produces diesel, gasoline, and other petroleum products intended for the Russian armed forces.

In the same night, the Ukrainian military also attacked the oil terminal “TES-Terminal-1” in Kerch, where a fire broke out. A fire was also reported at the Kavkaz port in the Krasnodar region, which the General Staff confirmed.

Further strikes targeted several railway bridges: over the North Crimean Canal near Rozdolne, near Petershagen in the Zaporizhzhia region, and over the Syvash near Chonhar. These bridges are used by Russia for military transport, troop movements, and supply of its units. Already on the night of June 20, Ukrainian forces had attacked a bridge over the Henichesk Strait in the Kherson region.
