The leadership of Ukraine’s Land Forces sharply condemned a physical assault by a TCC soldier on Artem Moroz in Kyiv. According to Ukrainska Pravda, citing a statement from the Land Forces, the use of force was “in this case unjustifiable by any means.” The incident occurred during a so-called notification measure in the Shevchenko district of the capital.
The Land Forces announced that the soldier involved would be transferred to a combat unit. Police opened criminal proceedings under Article 125 of the Criminal Code (minor bodily harm). Veteran Moroz, who lost both legs at the front, received a referral for a forensic medical examination. The leadership of the Kyiv Military Recruitment Center officially apologized to the veteran and emphasized its decisive rejection of such actions.
The Land Forces stated: “Dealing with people – whether civilians or military personnel – must be based on the principles of humanity and respect. The dignity and rights of war veterans are an absolute priority for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.” The incident occurred on May 22, when a notification group approached the veteran on the street, leading to a conflict.
EuroPulse reported on May 23, 2026, on Ukraine’s intensified attacks on Russian supply routes, increasing pressure on the occupiers (Ukraine verstärkt Angriffe auf russische Nachschubwege – ISW).
