The operation was carried out by special forces from the SBU’s Center for Special Operations ‘Alpha’. The target was the Vtorovo linear production and dispatch station, located about 200 kilometers east of Moscow and operated by Transneft subsidiary Verkhnevolzhsknefteprodukt.

According to the SBU, Ukrainian loitering munitions bypassed Russian electronic warfare systems and struck the distribution infrastructure multiple times. The fire spread over an estimated 800 square meters.

The Vtorovo station is considered one of the most critical nodes in Russia’s pipeline network for petroleum products. It primarily supplies strategic fuel depots around Moscow and the capital’s three major airports – Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo, and Vnukovo – with high-quality diesel fuel.

According to Ukrainian intelligence assessments, the disruption of this transit route hampers fuel supplies for both civilian aviation and the military transport fleet supporting Kremlin campaigns.
