Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrij Sybiha announced that the presence of Ukrainian drones in Latvian airspace was not a coincidence. According to Sybiha, the incident was caused by targeted manipulations from a third party that influenced the drones' routes. This was discussed during his talks with Latvian Foreign Minister Baiba Braže.
Sybiha explained that the official investigation found that the Ukrainian drones were diverted from their original targets due to Russian electronic warfare. These findings highlight the risks posed by Russian aggression against Ukraine for the entire region.
Additionally, Polskie Radio reported that the incidents involving the drones in Latvia were due to targeted disruption by Russian electronic means. This underscores the need for increased cooperation between the Baltic states and Finland to prevent similar incidents in the future.
