Ukraine’s Deep Strike SSO attacked the Rostovnefteprodukt oil depot on the night of June 18, together with the Russian resistance movement ‘Chorna Iskra’. The target also included a fuel and lubricants base in the city of Gukovo, Rostov region, according to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Several drones from the special forces reached their targets, the military said. Fires broke out and destruction occurred. The facilities struck were used for storage, transshipment and loading of fuels and lubricants, including gasoline, diesel and other petroleum products.

The Rostov region serves as a key rear area for Russian troops, supplying units along the southern and eastern fronts in Ukraine. The facilities there had both civilian and military logistical functions, the statement said. The special forces said they would continue their targeted strikes to weaken the enemy’s capabilities and end the aggression against Ukraine.
