According to Ukrainska Pravda, Rubio said in Rome that the United States did not want to waste time on efforts that did not lead to concrete results. He tied Washington’s readiness to mediate explicitly to the condition of verifiable progress.
The report says Rustem Umerow, secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council, has travelled to the United States to speak with negotiators for US President Donald Trump. Ukrainska Pravda also reports that the Ukrainian government expects representatives of the US president to visit Kyiv before the summer.
