The indirect negotiations between the United States of America (USA) and Iran show no progress. Both countries have renewed their mutual accusations, with US Donald Trump calling the Iranian response to a US proposal "stupid." Trump expressed concern over the current ceasefire, which he described as "weaker than ever."

At an event at the White House, Trump stated that the ceasefire has only about a one percent chance of survival. Despite this pessimistic assessment, he still believes in the possibility of a diplomatic solution. "We are prepared for all eventualities," he added.

Iran rejected Trump's statements. According to the Iranian news agency Tasnim, the negotiating team did not agree to ship highly enriched uranium out of the country. Reports that Iran had agreed to halt uranium enrichment for 15 years were labeled as "psychological warfare."

Additionally, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammed Bagher Ghalibaf threatened retaliatory measures against any US attacks. "Our forces are ready to respond and teach any aggressor a lesson," Ghalibaf stated on the online platform X.
