According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano and Hamburger Abendblatt, Tottenham and Brighton have agreed on a transfer for Luka Vuskovic. The 19-year-old Croatian, who impressed on loan at Hamburger SV last season, is set to sign a contract until summer 2031. The medical check will take place in the USA, where Vuskovic is with the Croatian national team facing Portugal in the round of 32.

The transfer fee is nearly €60 million. Around €53.4 million is due immediately, with an additional €5 to €7 million in performance-related bonuses. Vuskovic was on loan from Tottenham to HSV last season and developed into a key player there. With six goals, including one in the derby against Werder Bremen, he contributed significantly to the promoted side’s early survival.

Vuskovic recently told Sport Bild that he would have liked to stay at HSV, but admitted: “In football, you can’t have everything you wish for. From this summer, I’m a Tottenham player again.” His brother Mario Vuskovic, who is still suspended until November, is currently working on his comeback in Hamburg.
