World Cup 2026: England’s 0-0 Draw with Ghana – Kane Misses Record

England's star-studded attack, led by Harry Kane, was thwarted by Ghana's defense. Thomas Tuchel's side could only manage a 0-0 draw in front of 63,983 fans in Boston, missing the chance to secure early qualification for the knockout stages.

The best chances fell to Nico O'Reilly, whose header hit the crossbar, and Kane, whose follow-up shot was saved in the 86th minute.

England remain top of Group L, but the performance dampens hopes of winning a second World Cup. Kane also missed the chance to become England’s sole record World Cup scorer with a tenth goal – he still shares the mark with Gary Lineker.
