Nagelsmann nominated 26 players on Monday for the World Cup finals, which begin on June 11 in the USA, Canada, and Mexico. The 40-year-old record goalkeeper Manuel Neuer pushes Oliver Baumann (Hoffenheim), previously slated as number one, into second place. Third goalkeeper is Alexander Nübel from Stuttgart.

In defense, Nagelsmann relies on Antonio Rüdiger (Real Madrid), Joshua Kimmich (FC Bayern Munich), and Jonathan Tah (Bayern Munich). The midfield is led by Jamal Musiala (FC Bayern), while the attack includes Kai Havertz (FC Arsenal) and Leroy Sané (Galatasaray Istanbul), among others. The German national team will face Curaçao, Ivory Coast, and Ecuador in the group stage.
