President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Romania on Wednesday to participate in the Bucharest Nine Summit. At this summit, Ukraine will seek additional defense aid and expanded cooperation in the area of drones, as reported by Kyivpost. He is accompanied by his wife, Olena Zelenska, who will engage in educational and cultural initiatives with Romanian partners.

Upon his arrival, Zelensky stated that a series of important bilateral meetings are planned on the sidelines of the summit. These discussions aim to strengthen international security cooperation and secure additional military support for Ukraine. “All of us in the world need joint decisions and joint work to ensure more security for everyone,” Zelensky said.

A key topic of discussion will be ensuring additional resources for Ukraine’s defense. Additionally, the format of the “Drone Deals” will be expanded to enhance drone production and cooperation with partners. During the visit, Olena Zelenska will also meet with the First Lady of Romania and participate in the signing of memorandums for the inclusion of Romanian universities in the Global Coalition for Ukrainian Studies.

The Bucharest Nine Summit is taking place today in Romania and is attended by northeastern European countries. Zelensky emphasizes the importance of these meetings for the security of Ukraine and the region.
