President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has promised to provide the public with additional reports on the "resonant situation in Monaco" in the coming days, following an explosion that injured a sanctioned Ukrainian businessman.

The statement follows a serious incident on June 29: around 9 p.m. local time, an explosion rocked Monaco, injuring three people, two of them seriously. According to Ukrainska Pravda, citing business circles, one of the victims is sanctioned Ukrainian businessman Vadym Yermolayev and his relatives.

The investigation in Monaco led to a 39-year-old Ukrainian citizen, Anastasiya Berezovska. Interpol placed her on the international wanted list on July 3 on suspicion of planting the explosive device. On July 7, Berezovska was found dead and buried near Kyiv — she had apparently been killed on July 3.

On the same day, Ukraine’s National Police, the SBU security service, the HUR military intelligence, and the Prosecutor General’s Office announced the arrest of two suspects: Vladyslav Reut, a HUR employee, and Vitaliy Zhykovych, a former SBU officer. They are accused of murdering Berezovska. Investigators also suspect the two men may be involved in the Monaco attack, as they allegedly made repeated transfers to the victim’s crypto and bank accounts.

On July 9, the Pechersk District Court in Kyiv ordered pre-trial detention without bail for Reut and Zhykovych. Zelenskyy emphasized that he would inform the public once he receives the full reports.
