The Horst Brandstätter Group from Zirndorf has once again faced significant revenue losses in the past fiscal year. Revenue fell from 490 million euros in the previous year to 409 million euros, marking a substantial decline compared to 760 million euros in the fiscal year 2020/21. A company spokesperson mentioned a net revenue of 449 million euros for the year 2024/2025.

Bahri Kurter, CEO of Playmobil, stated, “The intensive development work of recent years is increasingly paying off.” He emphasized that new products and collaborations are generating significant interest in the market and strengthening brand presence. However, the company remains temporarily in the loss zone, as extensive structural adjustments and high investments are necessary.

As part of this realignment, around 700 positions have already been eliminated domestically and internationally. The production of Playmobil figures in Germany will cease in June, while manufacturing in other countries such as Malta and the Czech Republic will continue. This affects up to 350 employees who will lose their jobs.

For the current fiscal year, Playmobil plans to target new customer groups. Particularly promising are the sales figures of the figures from the national football team, which are offered under license with the German Football Association. In September, figures from all Bundesliga teams are also set to be released.
