Since the start of martial law, general mobilization has been in effect throughout Ukraine. The ministry emphasizes that defending the homeland, independence, and territorial integrity is the highest duty of every citizen.
Among the specific duties is compliance with regulations for conscripts. This includes reporting to the military commissariat upon conscription and submitting all required documents.
In parallel, the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, announced for the first time fixed-term short-term contracts of six to nine months. These are aimed at soldiers who have left service due to health reasons or injury. Pay and allowances are uniform for all contract soldiers, according to the ministry.
