The Bundestag passed a draft law on Thursday to further develop pharmaceutical care. According to the federal government, the law is intended to secure a nationwide network of pharmacies — a key concern given the increasing number of pharmacy closures in rural regions.
In addition, the competencies of pharmacies are to be expanded. This includes, among other things, extended pharmaceutical services that go beyond the mere dispensing of medicines. The specific regulations are set out in the draft law.
EuroPulse reported on May 21, 2026, about the Bundestag’s postponement of the 65-percent rule for heating systems (Bundestag postpones 65-percent rule for heating systems to November).
