Anthropic, the company behind the AI chatbot Claude, has filed an application for an initial public offering with the US securities regulator, according to a report by Spiegel. The firm was recently valued at $965 billion.
The company thus enters direct competition with OpenAI, the developer of ChatGPT. Other AI firms are also pursuing similar stock market plans, the report adds.
