The Ukrainian government is developing a new contract structure for soldiers that sets clear service periods for new recruits and existing military personnel. This reform has been agreed upon by representatives from the Ministry of Defense, the General Staff, and the Presidential Office. The planned contracts include three types of service periods: ten months for active soldiers, 14 months for new recruits, and two years for other positions.

Additionally, the minimum compensation for soldiers in the rear will be increased from 20,000 to 30,000 Hryvnias. Commanders of various ranks are expected to receive a salary increase of about 100 percent. For soldiers signing "combat contracts," a risk premium of up to 40,000 Hryvnias per day will be offered, depending on the nature of the missions.

As reported by AIN.UA, the reform will also include guaranteed demobilization and individual calculations of the terms for returning to service. These measures aim to enhance the attractiveness of military service and support the recruitment of new soldiers.
