The Cupra Raval VZ Extreme, the top model in Volkswagen's new electric vehicle lineup, offers high driving enjoyment but comes with a hefty price tag of €46,525. According to Heise, the model will be available starting September 2026 and is equipped with a 37 kWh battery that utilizes lithium iron phosphate cell chemistry. The Raval shares its platform with the base model of the VW ID. Polo, which is also set to launch in September.

The motors of the Raval deliver between 85 and 166 kW, with a more powerful variant featuring a 52 kWh energy capacity planned. The price of the Raval is considered high compared to other electric compact cars, such as the Opel Corsa GSE, which is also expected to cost over €40,000. The announcement of the Raval as a sporty model distinguishes it from the more conservative offerings of the parent company.

The pricing strategy of the Cupra Raval VZ Extreme indicates that the company is pursuing a confident market approach. A cash sales incentive of €3,000 until June 30 could appeal to potential buyers; however, the Raval remains an expensive vehicle in its class. Competition in the sporty electric compact car segment is intensified by models like the Opel Corsa GSE.
