Munich's health department is offering free HPV vaccinations for children and adolescents from July 6 to 10 as part of the Bavarian Vaccination Week.

As part of the Bavarian Vaccination Week, the Munich Health Department is offering free vaccinations against the human papillomavirus (HPV) from July 6 to 10. The vaccinations are available for children and adolescents up to the age of 17 and can be received without a prior appointment at the vaccination center at Schwanthalerstraße 69, Room 512.

The vaccination center is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., and on Fridays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The cost of the vaccination is covered by health insurance up to the age of 17, and in some cases beyond.

The Standing Committee on Vaccination (STIKO) recommends the HPV vaccination for all girls and boys aged 9 to 17. Two doses are recommended between ages 9 and 14, and three doses from age 15 onward. Parents are asked to accompany their children to the vaccination.
