Ukrainian forces are deliberately attacking bridges leading to occupied Crimea, cutting off central supply routes. According to 24tv, citing Petro Andriushchenko, head of the Center for Occupation Studies, Russian residents of the peninsula are complaining about explosions and growing fuel shortages.
Andriushchenko said that the Russians initially cheered Ukrainian attacks on their cities but did not expect the rules of war to change. Now they are seeing a decline in cargo turnover: not only fuel is becoming scarce, but food is also disappearing from stores. Prices are rising. The expert predicts that the mood among the occupiers will be fundamentally different by August than before.
Additionally, the occupiers have banned the transport of children’s groups across the Kerch Bridge through the Rostov region. This means that summer camps such as the famous pioneer camp complex “Artek” will remain empty this summer – an important economic factor for the peninsula is disappearing.
