Josué Duverger is one of three goalkeepers in Haiti’s World Cup squad, as reported by ZDFheute. The 26-year-old plays for FC Cosmos Koblenz, which was promoted to the Oberliga Rheinland-Pfalz/Saar in 2025. Haiti faces Scotland, Brazil and Morocco in Group C of the preliminary round.
Duverger was born in Montreal and moved to Portugal at age 14 to become a professional footballer. This is only Haiti’s second World Cup appearance after 1974. The goalkeeper said: “It means everything to me. For Haiti, this is a very special moment – something that gives many people hope and joy.”
