A 50-year-old man lightly injured three police officers at Munich Central Station on Wednesday. According to federal police, he attacked the officers when they tried to enforce a ban on his presence.

The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. A joint patrol of federal and state police had been called to the Bahnhofsmission (railway station mission) because the man was present there despite an existing house ban and was behaving aggressively toward staff. He had previously ignored multiple orders to stay away from the main station.

When officers tried to take the 50-year-old into custody, he resisted, physically attacked them, and also tried to spit on them. The police used immediate force to bring the man under control. The officers sustained minor injuries during the operation but remained fit for duty.

The homeless man is now under investigation for, among other things, assault on law enforcement officers and resisting arrest.
