Tim Merlier won the 7th stage of the Tour de France. The Belgian from Soudal Quick-Step triumphed in a mass sprint in Bordeaux ahead of Sören Wärenskjold and Biniam Girmay. German professional cyclist Max Kanter crossed the finish line in fourth place.
Phil Bauhaus sprinted to sixth place, Pascal Ackermann to twelfth.
For Merlier, it was his fourth career stage win at the Tour de France. The 7th stage was a flat stage covering 175.1 kilometers from Hagetmau to Bordeaux. No German has won a Tour stage since Marcel Kittel in 2017.
