Ukraine’s Come Back Alive foundation says its Dronopad initiative has inflicted losses of around $1.39 billion on Russia. Since the project launched two years ago, more than 53,000 Russian drones have been shot down, the foundation told Kyiv Post. Half of that number fell in the past four months alone.
The initiative has equipped over 90 frontline units with gear worth more than $49 million, including interceptor drones, transport, communications equipment, and training. The foundation estimates that every donated hryvnia translates into at least 20 hryvnias of losses for the enemy.
Among the downed drones were nearly 35,000 tactical attack drones such as Molniya, Lancet, and Parodiya, more than 8,500 Shahed or Gerbera models, and over 8,000 reconnaissance drones. In June 2026, more than 21 percent of drones crossing the Ukrainian border were intercepted by Dronopad crews.
The foundation is now preparing for faster, jet-powered attack drones that require new interception tools and expanded defense lines deeper inside the country. Come Back Alive deputy director Oleh Karpenko said solutions that were experimental at the project’s start are now deployed in over 90 units.
