President Volodymyr Zelensky has commented via Facebook on the latest Russian attacks. He said he had listened to reports from Serhiy Koretskyi (Prime Minister), Mykhailo Drapatyi (Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces), and Viktor Mykyta (Deputy Head of the Presidential Office). The reports concerned enemy strikes on Odesa, Kharkiv, Pavlohrad, and other regions, Zelensky emphasized.
In Odesa and the region, repair work is currently underway to restore the power supply after the heavy strike on the energy infrastructure. In Kharkiv, a direct drone strike destroyed four floors of a residential high-rise. “Dozens of people were injured, two have been killed. My condolences,” the president added.
In Pavlohrad, he said, there was an absolutely brutal strike near the shopping center and on energy facilities. Nine people were injured in the city, including four children. The regions of Zhytomyr, Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Kherson, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, and Donetsk were also exposed to the Russian attack.
Every such strike on life reminds us again: there must be more pressure, more sanctions against Russia, and more air defense for Ukraine. “I am grateful to those who help,” Zelensky stressed.
