Shinta Appelkamp is moving from Fortuna Düsseldorf to Greuther Fürth. The 25-year-old striker, who experienced relegation from the 2. Bundesliga with Düsseldorf in May, signed a contract until 2028 with an option to extend.
In a club statement, Appelkamp spoke positively about the officials: “The people in charge presented me with a clear plan and a clear role for me, where I completely see myself and want to contribute.” Coach Heiko Vogel praised the player as “a very flexible player who can fill various roles in the offensive area.”
Fürth is facing a major upheaval as several key players will leave the club. Düsseldorf, on the other hand, must embark on a fresh start after relegation to the 3. Liga.
