Russian strikes on the Chernihiv region killed a man and injured 18 other people. The news agency Ukrinform reports this, citing the head of the regional military administration, Viacheslav Chaus, who reported on the latest strikes on Telegram on Saturday.

According to that report, seven of the injured were taken to hospitals. Most of the injured were treated on the spot, and three others are receiving outpatient treatment. According to Chaus, emergency workers extinguished a fire at the strike site.

In the evening, according to Ukrinform, Russian troops attacked the city of Novhorod-Siverskyi with Gerbera-type drones. Administrative buildings and outbuildings were damaged. In villages of the Koriukivka community, Molniia-type drones hit residential yards; windows and a roof were damaged at one property, and another was completely destroyed. In a village of the Ripky community, a Geran-type drone damaged the windows of five houses.

The outlet Kyiv Independent reports, citing local authorities, that Russian forces attacked the city of Chernihiv during the day on Friday, killing a man and injuring at least 25 people. An air-raid alert was triggered in the city at around 13:40 local time because of a missile warning; a few minutes later, the Ukrainian Air Force reported drones and a low-cost Banderol-type cruise missile approaching the city. The Chernihiv city council said the targets had been two private companies, without giving further details.

The figures on the injured differ: Ukrinform gives 18 injured for the entire region, while Kyiv Independent gives at least 25 for the city of Chernihiv. The reports do not contain an explanation for the discrepancy.
