Carleer joins from Dutch record champions FC Twente, with whom she won the national championship twice and gained Champions League experience. She is the fifth new signing for Wolfsburg in this transfer period.
VfL director Vanessa Bernau praised the defender as internationally experienced and matured into a key player. Carleer herself described the club as ideal for her further development. She made her debut for the Netherlands in late November 2025 in a test match in Portugal.
