England’s first group match against Luka Modric’s Croatia will be a true test of their mettle. Kickoff in Arlington, near Dallas, is at 10 p.m. local time. Group L is completed by Ghana and Panama.

Kane, who scored 61 goals in 51 competitive matches for FC Bayern Munich last season, enters the tournament as captain and record scorer for the Three Lions (79 goals in 114 appearances). The 32-year-old is known for being down-to-earth and friendly – qualities he is also demonstrating at the team base camp in Kansas.

EuroPulse reported on June 13 about Harry Maguire’s shocked reaction to being left out of Tuchel’s World Cup squad: World Cup 2026: Maguire reacts with shock to Tuchel’s squad exclusion.
