According to the prosecutor’s office, among the 73 affected were patients of the clinic, medical staff and residents of neighbouring houses. Most had been diagnosed with an acute stress reaction. A glide bomb hit the connecting corridor

According to the prosecutor’s office, the attack on Kharkiv occurred at around 03.20 on Tuesday, 3 November. An aerial bomb struck a connecting corridor between two clinic buildings in the Nemyshlianskyi district of the city. Windows were torn out in the buildings, the facade and departments were damaged. According to the investigators’ assessment, it could have been a FAB-250 with the UMPK-5R guidance module; the debris was secured. The prosecutor’s office has opened a preliminary investigation into a war crime.

According to the prosecutor’s office, another medical facility, a laboratory, the windows of ten apartment buildings and 13 cars were also damaged. Kharkiv mayor Ihor Terekhov stated that the blast wave destroyed more than 1,000 window panes at the clinic and in the surrounding area. The Berliner Zeitung, citing the regional military administration, names at least four damaged residential buildings, while the prosecutor’s office speaks of ten damaged apartment buildings. Because of damaged municipal utility facilities, the heating and hot water supply was partially cut off; in metro operations, deviations from the timetable are possible because of unstable grid voltage.

Attacks on energy facilities in several regions

The attack on Kharkiv was part of a massive Russian strike in the night to Tuesday. By 9 a.m., according to this, 309 aerial targets had been shot down or jammed: three ballistic missiles, 49 cruise missiles and 257 drones. Hits were registered at 23 locations, debris fell at 14 places. The air force warned that the attack was continuing and that several drones were still in Ukrainian airspace.

According to the air force, the main targets were the Kyiv, Kharkiv, Vinnytsia and Dnipropetrovsk regions. In Dnipro, according to the head of the region’s military administration, Oleksandr Hanzha, a combined heat and power plant, a residential area, a police station and a hospital were hit. One person died, 17 were injured. Rescue workers were trying to recover the body from the debris; the search was being made more difficult by the continuing danger of further hits, Hanzha said. In the Zhytomyr region, according to the authorities, more than 180,000 households in around 130 settlements were without electricity, as BR.de reports. In the Odesa region, an attack on a facility of the energy supplier DTEK led to emergency shutdowns.
