The Christopher Street Day (CSD) parade in Munich took place on Saturday in extreme heat. According to police and organizers, around 30,000 people took part in the parade, while 200,000 watched from the sidelines. Temperatures exceeded 35 degrees Celsius.
Participants protected themselves with fans, hats, parasols, and sunglasses. Colorful parade floats, drag queens, and extravagant outfits dominated the scene. A spokesperson for the Johanniter emergency service reported 32 first-aid interventions, mainly for circulatory problems and sunstroke. There were no major incidents.
